There is a great diversity of shopping to do in Sintra
The town is full of shops that carry many of the local crafts like pottery, ceramics and lace. You can also found nice jewllery, Portugal is famous for Filigree work, pretty pieces with reasonable prices. Take a walk around São Pedro de Sintra where almost every door is a store for local atractions, antics, and frippery.
There are some open air markets that must be visited where local specialties can be found, as well as clothing, fabrics, ceramic, pottery, and all sorts fo biological goodies.
The São Pedro Market at the Square, takes place every 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, where you can find all sorts of products, textil, antics,food.
There´s the Almoçageme Market, a regional fair feature, where you can find fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers and other regional products such as bread, honey, cakes and flowers. On the 3rd Sunday of each month.
