Francesinha (Frenchie) is a typical dish from the city of Oporto.
It consists of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meat and steak beef or, alternatively, roast pork loin and sliced, covered with cheese (melted later). It is usually garnished with a tomato-based sauce, beer and piri-piri. Accompaniments fried eggs (on top of the sandwich) and fries are optional.
